Artemy Ober. 1843–1917. To the 100th Anniversary of His Death

The first monographic exhibition of one of the major Russian sculptors of animals of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, Artemy Ober, presents a comprehensive collection of his works, acquired by the Russian Museum from his widow, N. F. Ober, in 1935. The exhibition will also include works from other collections. One-of-a-kind wax and terracotta maquettes, bronze sculptures, medals, vases, and drawings make up an extensive and substantial display of 87 items. A friend of A. N. Benois and K. A. Somov, an active member of the Mir Iskusstva Society, A. L. Ober was captured in many sketches by these artists, the most exciting of which are included in the exhibition.
