In Paris the artist was fascinated by the beauty of nature and wildlife. Fish became favourite characters of the artist, in addition to animals and fruit. Floating in the space of dishes or vases, they turned into magnificent decorative spots that decorated the objects’ surface. The art searches of the French period resulted in significant changes in the artist's porcelain pieces. The painting completely complied with the object, the flattening of volumes and the graphic contours introduction "tied" the images to the surface. The composition concentrated on the main motive or spread over the porcelain surface evenly.
