Seminar on Interaction of Secular and Religious Cultural and Leisure Institutions

In the Virtual Branch of the Russian Museum at the Church of the New Martyrs and Confessors of Russia, Cheboksary, a seminar was held within the framework of the program of advanced training courses for art directors of city and regional House of Culture, methodologists of informational and methodological centers.
Archimandrite Guri (Danilov), rector of the church, met with cadets. The round table meeting, in a relaxed atmosphere, provided an opportunity to discuss issues of both the spiritual life of modern society and practical ones. Archimandrite Gurii heads the third deanery of Cheboksary diocese, often travels to rural parishes and is well acquainted with the actual situation on the ground. Positive impressions of the meeting with the priest at the seminar will help specialists to establish an active and constructive dialogue with representatives of the Church in their locality. Communicating directly with priests in the cities and districts of Chuvashia will help unite the local community, attract volunteers and philanthropists to address pressing issues in educational and social activities.
On the theme of the seminar "Interaction of secular and religious cultural and recreational institutions" several educational projects were offered for acquaintance. Associate Professor of the Department of Social, Cultural and Library Activities of the Chuvash Institute of Culture and Arts Natalia Gerasimova presented the project of creating an audio version of the Holy Writ in the Chuvash language, implemented in the Republican special library named after. L.N. Tolstoy for the blind and visually impaired. A fragment of unhurried melodious reading of the Psalter, presented to listeners, made it possible to feel the richness and depth of the spiritual heritage brought to the blind Chuvashia.
The head of the Virtual Information Center "Virtual Branch of the Russian Museum" at the Church of the New Martyrs and Confessors of the Russian city of Cheboksary, Valentina Shibaeva, shared her practical experience in implementing two projects of the International Grant Competition "Orthodox Initiative" in 2011 and 2015, which enabled the parish library, the church museum and the Sunday school at the church Modern multimedia equipment. Then, together with the guide of the Church History Museum Tatyana Pavlova, the excursion "Christian enlightenment of the Chuvash region" was conducted, which ended with a ringing of museum bells
