Online lectures

The Online Lectures in the Multimedia Centre of the Russian Museum is a long-term project of the Russian Museum which includes holding and online webcast of lectures on the theory and history of fine art, thematic online meetings and consultations with the staff of the Russian Museum as well as conducting of specialised seminars and conferences within the framework of the project .

The lectures are webcasted live at the site of Non-commercial partnership “Virtual Russian Museum” www.npvrm.ru and thanks to videoconferencing system are webcasted by the institutions that are participants of the project “The Russian Museum: the Virtual Branch”

To view online you should get the access code in advance by sending an application to  virtualrm@rusmuseum.ru

The lectures take place in the Multimedia Centre of the Western Guardhouse of St. Michael’s (Engineers) Castle (8 Inzhenernaya street, St. Petersburg)

A free showing of the film "Celebrations on Palace Square. Two paintings of the epoch" based on the works from the collection of the Russian Museum Celebrating the Opening of the Second Congress of Comintern on the 19th July 1920. Demonstration on Uritsky Square by Boris Kustodiev and ANT -20 Maxim Gorky by Vasily Kuptsov for the veterans of the war and labour as well as of the armed forces and law enforcement will take place on the 7th of November in the Multimedia cinema of the Multimedia Centre of the Russian Museum.

The puppet show "The Overcoat" with the elements of multimedia based on the story "The Overcoat" by Nikolai Gogol will be shown for the first time in the Multimedia Centre of the Russian Museum on the 5th of October at 7 pm.
