Painter, graphic artist. Studied at the private studios of Konstantin Juon (1905) and Kis (1909) in Moscow and under Henri Le Fauconnier and Jean Metzinger at the Académie de la Palette in Paris. Worked with Vladimir Tatlin and Alexander Vesnin at the Tower studio in Moscow (1913). Member of the Supremus group (1916 — 1917). Contributed to the exhibitions of the Jack of Diamonds (1914,1916), Tramcar V. First Futurist Exhibition (1915), 0. 10. Last Futurist Exhibition (1915 — 1916) and Store (1916). Joined IZO Narkompros, Moscow (1918). Taught at the Higher Art- Technical Studios/Institute (1920 — 1930). Worked at the Institute of Artistic Culture (1920 — 1921). Member of the Moscow Painters (1925) and the Society of Moscow Artists (1927 — 1928).
