On 19th May A.B. Kibasov, the leading methodologist for scientific and educational activities from the State Russian Musem read his lecture "Archeology and Drama: History and Art of K.P. Brullov" at the National Museum of Fine Arts of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The speaker analysed Brullov’s famous painting The Last Day of Pompeii, revealing the way the artist's contemporaries saw it, Brullov’s innovations and his art’s bonds with European artistic heritage. He also drew attention to a mysterious detail on the painting.
