BIALYNICKI-BIRULA Witold Kaetanovich
1872, Krynki, Mogilev Gubernia — 1957, Moscow
Painter. Studied at the Nikolai Murashko School of Drawing in Kiev (1885–1889) and under Vasily Polenov at the Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture (1889–1897). Academician of painting (from 1908). Member of the Society of Travelling Art Exhibitions (1904). Contributed to exhibitions (from 1891). Contributed to the exhibitions of the Moscow Fellowship of Artists (1897–1900, 1903), periodical exhibitions of the Moscow Society of Lovers of the Arts (1897–1900, 1907), Society of Travelling Art Exhibitions (1899–1918), Izograf (1918), Association of Artists of Revolutionary Russia (1922, 1923), Society of Realist Artists (1928) and the International Exhibitions in Munich (1911, gold medal) and Barcelona (1912, gold medal). People’s Artist of the RSFSR and Belorussian SSR.
