Sculptor, decorative and easel master, theatrical designer, applied artist, portraitist. Studied at the Konstantin Juon School of Art in Moscow (1909–1911), Ilya Mashkov’s studio (1911), under Émile Antoine Bourdelle and at the Académie de Filippo Colarossi, Académie de la Palette, Académie de la Grande-Chaumière and the Académie des Beaux-Arts in Paris (1912–1914). Contributed to exhibitions (from 1920).
