Similar things in purpose got their own form and decorative features in different areas. Northern ladles remained their traditional shape of a floating bird. Sometimes the ladle looked like a horse. So is this unique piece of art with an long inscription and date that gives exhaustive information about its origin: "This ladle of the Empty Church of the Nativity of the Virgin, the Sexton Boris Vasiliev composed in 1753 year".
