Andrei Mylnikov worked in various genres. He was also an extraordinary landscapist. In many of his works, he acted as the voice of his native land, its beauty, and diversity. His subtle, delicate landscapes have an intimate character; they can be called mood landscapes. The artist was able to convey the pure, clear air, and the atmosphere itself of the spring evening. This is due in large part to the undiluted colour palette and the clear, well-structured composition.
