A preview of the multimedia film «The Procession»
A preview of the multimedia film «The Procession» and discussions with the authors of the film will be held in the Multimedia Centre of the Russian Museum on the 15th December 2016 at 7pm (8 Inzhenernaya street).
The film is based on a number of artefacts of the 18th century and the painting by Vasily Istomin "The Transferring of the Tikhvin Icon of the Mother of God from the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin to the Cathedral of the Dormition in Tikhvin on the 9th June 1798".
We will be discussing the fates of the Romanov dynasty, distinctive features of the mystical world view of Paul I, intriguing facts from the life of Ivan VI, called "the Russian iron mask".
