The Northern project in the south of Bashkortostan

 

The virtual branch of the Russian Museum will open in Sterlitamak, one of the largest cities of the Republic of Bashkortostan. It will be the second virtual branch of the Russian Museum in the Republic of Bashkortostan. The first one was opened in the capital of the Republic, in the Ufa State Institute named after Zagir Ismailov.

The information and educational centre will occupy the Sterlitamak Picture Gallery which is the branch of the Bashkir State Art Museum named after Mikhail Nesterov. It has been the centre of cultural life of the city for more than 20 years. The works of Russian painting and graphic art of the second part of the 19th century - early 20th century as well as the works of contemporary Bashkir artists are exhibited here.
