The State Russian Museum is a unique museum complex in the centre of St. Petersburg. It represents not only the richest collection of the national fine arts but also tells about three centuries of Russian architecture and garden art. Today it includes ensembles of the Mikhailovsky Palace, St. Michael's Castle, the Marble and the Stroganov Palaces, the Summer Garden and the Mikhailovsky Garden, the Summer Palace and the Cabin of Peter the Great.
The program enable users to visit the whole museum complex in a virtual environment. The interiors and exteriors of the Mikhailovsky, Marble, Stroganov and Summer palaces, as well as St Michael’s Castle and the House of Peter I are presented using the technology of panoramic photography.
This program includes 400 hundreds artworks of different types from permanent exposition of Russian museum: folk art, graphic, sculpture, oil painting etc.
Film tells about the prominent Russian dynasty of the Stroganovs. Wealthy family of merchants and art amateur.
