The program \"Living lessons\" is offered using the resources of the Virtual Russian Museum, conducting excursions to the church and historical museum \"Christian Enlightenment of the Chuvash region\", master classes on Bell ringing and beading for extracurrial activities on the subject of \"the foundations of religious cultures and secular ethics\" in the church of the New Martyrs and Confessors of Russian Church.
What is \"Live Lessons\"? - The federal program \"Live Lessons\" is being successfully implemented in several regions of Russia. The strategic goal of the project is to study the native country and to become familiar with the national, historical, cultural and natural values of the state, which should ensure intellectual, spiritual and creative development, as well as patriotic education of the younger generation. The educational project \"Living lessons\" is aimed at ensuring that students leave their classes, digress from textbooks and plunge into a living history.
The study of the academic subject \"Fundamentals of religious cultures and secular ethics\" fourth graders of school number 56 in Cheboksary combined with an excursion to the church of the New Martyrs and Confessors of Russian Church. In the exposition of the church-historical museum the children got acquainted with the art installation \"Chersonese\", learned how and where the baptism of Prince Vladimir of Kiev, how the two peoples - Russian and Chuvash united, examined the old church utensils, even looked into the monastic cell. In the parish library of the church, the children got acquainted with the variety of Orthodox spiritual literature, where everyone can find something to read for themselves.
The new module \"Foundations of Orthodox Culture\" in the school has a culturological character. It is offered for those students who want to better understand Russian history, literature and art. The Orthodox national culture is the culture of the Gospel, the culture associated with the names of the Reverend Sergius of Radonezh and Seraphim of Sarov, the Monk Andrey Rublev and Dionysius, Alexander Nevsky and Dmitry Donskoy, is the culture of Pushkin and Dostoyevsky, Tchaikovsky and Rachmaninov, Nesterov and Vasnetsov.
