Online tour. Mikhailovsky Palace.

High school students of the V.E. Tatlin Art School No. 1 got acquainted with the exposition of works of art placed in the Mikhailovsky Palace. Mikhailovsky Palace is a masterpiece of Russian architecture of the first third of the XIX century. Its creator is the famous architect Carl Rossi. The exposition of the Mikhailovsky Palace is divided into 17 halls, the route of which is built according to the chronology of the development of art in Russia. Thus, the study of works of art begins with ancient icons, and ends with the works of authors of the XX century. The first few halls are dedicated to ancient Russian icon painting, various icon painting schools are presented – Moscow, Novgorod, Pskov and others, allowing to trace the evolution of ancient Russian painting. Icons of such an outstanding master who worked in Moscow as Andrei Rublev are of particular importance in the collection of the Russian Museum. The next few halls will be dedicated to sculptural art — and here the most famous work is considered to be the sculpture "Anna Ioannovna with a little Arab" by the author Barto
